My status for DoDMERB is remedial. They requested that I send my patient records, and they were sent last Thursday and my status is still remedial. Does anyone know how long it usually takes for the status to update. I am really anxious this is the last thing I have to do before I know if I am accepted.

How did you send them in?
It takes time to receive them and then you have to wait for them to actually look at them. Once you see something change, contact Mr. Mullen and he can help you.

I mailed them. But they actually received them on that day, that's not the day that they were sent. What do you mean when something changes? Like when my status changes?

It depends on where/how you sent them. If you mailed them they will have gone to the USAFA and will need to be sorted with their mail so it can be determined that the paperwork was meant for dodmerb. If you used fedex or ups, itll go right to dodmerb and hopefully you wanted someone to sign for it. Once at dodmerb, remember the board and staff is composed of a very small number of people looking at thousands of people (since they disqual 80% :unhappy:). I did the same thing a couple times already and the first time it took them about 3 months, this time so far it's been 1 month and nothing yet. Continue waiting and get used to it, because thats what this whole process is about

Son's remedial took about a week. Fedex'd it over to DoDMERB. I would suggest a quick email to Mr. Mullen, because he can give you a status on the remedial. (He gave my son a status report and atleast we knew they had been received and were being reviewed) Each remedial request is different, so yes, be patient. But email Mr. Mullen full name, Last four SSN and request...best chance at knowing what's going on.

Contact Mr. Mullen. Although this is the last thing you have to do, the Admissions Board may have much more to do before you will know if you have been awarded an appointment. They may be waiting on medical remedials or complete applications of other candidates on your slate.

If you resign yourself to the fact that it may well take until late March (or beyond) for a decision, then you will be pleasantly surprised if it comes sooner!
