My assigned doctor for the DoDMERB exam is located in OK, whereas I reside in TX. Is this typical?
 
FYI, there is a DODMERB forum. I'm sure someone here might know, but you might find your most accurate response there.
 
If you live in a small town near the border, I can see that. If it's a problem, I'd say contact Concorde.
 
It's all based on where you live. In North Texas your closest examiners are probably going to be in the Dallas area, so if you live closer to one in OK than Dallas/Ft Worth then I'd probably go that way. As noted you can always call concordia to check it out though.
