HERE IS THE ONLY THING THAT I COULD FIND ON-LINE.....

What was this year's acceptance rate for The United States Naval Academy in Annapolis?

10,960 applied and 1,261 were admitted for the Class of 2012 (most recent year reported), which is 11.5%. The Class of 2013 had 15,342 applications and they expected to admit 1,230 but final number admitted has not been published officially; if accurate, this was 8%. Source(s):

That quesion tends to get asked each year. Those percentages can be interpreted in various ways. For one thing, the 15,000+ number represents those who STARTED an official application. A significant number of them never finish the application process. I believe there were also additional things counted in the most recent year that were not counted in the past. Attempts to use those percentages to indicate how 'selective' the academy is compared to a civilian college can be very misleading.

Thats a much higher percentage of women than what it seems like here. Most companies started 42 plebes and I don't know any that had more than 9 girls...but if thats what the numbers say. Maybe First reg has 12/company or something but that definitely doesn't add up to what I see here.
