Does the Board read supplements/recommendations?

As the online ROTC application is, probably by design, rather generic and there is not much to differentiate a candidate other than their "check marks" next to leadership, school, sports, etc categories (and, of course, their essay), does anyone know if high school resumes/supplemental information/letters of recommendation are even attached to the initial application??
I imagine the first go-round a candidate is probably 'scored' according to the official application, but am curious if the additional information ever actually makes it to the Board for review, or if it is just left behind??
As we all continue to wait, our house is beginning to second guess everything!!:confused:
