Nomination Source State District Date Received
    Congress/Senator 1 CA 26-JAN-2009
    Presidential 06-NOV-2008

I know this means i got barbera boxer's nom cause i interviewed with her staff and there is no district number so its not my congressman and i know she makes a principle nom but i am wondering if that "1" there makes it a principle nomination or not, I haven't got any notice from her office about this.

Nope - the 1 represents Senator 1 (Boxer) and a 2 would represent Senator 2 (Feinstein).

On an aside - I know a person who got her principal nom from Boxer a few years ago and never got a letter or notice of any kind.
