DD was DQ for known back issue. Thinking CONCORD may have erred in x-ray test, went to orthopedist who treated DD, and looked up DoD limits on back curvature.
Was re-x-rayed and Dr. dictated 2nd opinion letter stating DD should be found fit for military service, due to DD falling within DoD limits. Good news was that USAFA gave waiver and appointment. Received 2nd appointment to USMMA, then was rescinded when DoDMERB showed waiver denied. USNA still shows in DoDMERB pending waiver. Does USMMA DQ board follow USNA, or will USNA waiver board make an independent decision from USMMA ?

Not sure about your DD's particular issue, but I know that for other issues (color vision) USMMA does not give waivers where others may give waivers. So I suppose one may conclude that while the stds are probably very similar, they are not always identical.

USMMA also doesn't have any DoD physicians. If the people that decide on waivers are any of the same people who treat midshipmen, then you're not dealing with the most competent bunch. Let's just say I'd feel safer with my dogs veterinarian than going to Patten.
