What is Bancroft Hall like? What are the rooms like? Do firsties live with less roommates than plebes, or do they get some other kind of barracks privileges (personal bathroom, etc.)?

Rooms range from 2-4 persons. The majority of rooms are 3 person rooms. They can be 2 (the top floors tend to be mostly 2 man and corner rooms tend to be 4 person). Google images has tons of pictures of the rooms and hallways. This will give you the best look as to what the place is like. They were renovated in the late 90s and early 2000s. There are showers and sinks in each room. There are a few bathrooms on each floor with toilets. Yes upperclass have privileges such as TVs and mini fridges (but remember these can change with each change in administration).

NavyHoops hit every major point. Firsties generally like the four man rooms because they're giant (compared to the typical three man room). In most companies, there is a "plebe shaft", which is where rooms are typically the smallest or least conveniently placed.

Good point mb. I lived in 8th wing and 5th wing as a Mid. Plebes tend to live in the main hallways, except for corner rooms. And yes the 4 man rooms are like small condos, they are huge! The back halls tend to be quieter. mb, hope you get home tomorrow and enjoy your first extended break from the Academy. Although they have given you guys so many weekends this year life should be good!
