Sometimes the advances in medicine are just beyond belief. This is amazing. God bless all of those Doctors who have worked what are nothing short of miracles in my opinion- and thanks to all of those like Mr Marrocco who have sacrificed so much over the last 11+ years of war.

I was watching Nightline a few weeks back and saw a story about a woman who had the same procedure. It was an interesting story in that there is a lot of adjustment to having someone else's hands attached to your body.

I found a link with part of the video. Interesting viewing...

The very same doctor worked all day today to reattach the right arm of a MD firefighter.

LT Ryan Emmons was working a vehicle accident this morning on the Capital Beltway near Rt 50 when his fire engine was struck by a tractor trailer. He was taken to Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore and after the successful surgery he was still listed in critical condition.

This is so amazing. I thought it was just wonderful when I heard it on the news. So good to hear.
