DQ'd with No Waivers?

Hi y'all, I'm applying for USAFA and AFROTC. I received a DQ for rheumatologic conditions (Code D283.00). My current DoDMERB portal says "Pending Waiver Submission/Review" for both AFROTC and USAFA and has since early February.

I've heard there are non-waiverable conditions. This may be a really stupid question, but if my problem is non-waiverable, would they even bother updating the status to say "waiver denied?" And how do I know if USAFA is putting in a waiver for me? Should that have been updated to say anything else? I'm just getting a bit concerned because it's been over 2 months with absolutely no change in my DoDMERB status.

Sorry, I'm new to this process and doing it without parental help.

Thank you!

USAFA typically sends you a letter via your portal to let you know they have put you forward for a waiver. They only pursue a waiver if they have deemed you are competitive for an appointment. If you have not received the letter, you should contact your USAFA admissions rep to see if they have put you forward for a waiver.

For ROTC, if you have been awarded an AFROTC scholarship, the waiver review begins automatically. No review starts prior to being awarded a scholarship.

I would expect that if you have been put forward for a waiver by USAFA or have been awarded an AFROTC scholarship, you will either receive a waiver granted or waiver denied from the waiver authorities -- either USAFA Surgeon General, or the AETC Surgeon General (for AFROTC), or both.
