Sorry everyone. I tried to search and came up empty handed too many times. Can anyone please tell me what the dress code is for parents during the overnight visit drop off, tour and pickup times? Thanks!!

Smart casual is fine.

Leave the tattered jeans and t-shirts at home. Suit or sport coat not necessary. For women, skirt, dress, or slacks is fine, judging for the other visitors who were there.

Main thing to remember to wear is comfortable walking shoes, as you will be doing a cadet-lead walking tour of campus. (and I suggest you visit the wp museum as well, which is more walking).

In our group, there were a couple of pairs of tattered jeans and T-shirts. Not particularly recommended, although it was a Thursday ("pajama day" on post), and they didn't match up parents' names with faces or with candidates. Would heartily second vampsoul on the comfortable shoes. It didn't seem to matter much what parents wore; I think it does matter that the candidate follow the dress code.

My appointee is ready with his nice clothes, but I don't have to dress up for work. I teach Kindergarten so I am mostly in jeans and nice tops. Are dressy jeans frowned upon? As for the comfy shoes, are athletic shoes okay?

Nice jeans with a nice top is fine. It's the hopeful cadets who need to pay more attention.
