Dual Citizenship and Security Clearance

I meant to write something after my interview last November but I completely forgot. I had an interview just before Thanksgiving with a contractor. It seemed straight forward, we just talked through my SF86 and showed him the passport. He told me his job was to write up a report about the interview and send it in.
Its been almost 4 months and they haven't said anything yet. Hopefully it just goes through with no problems but it would have been nice if they had given me a follow up call and not have me wait here.

Is there somewhere I can call or email to find out about my security clearance status?

You can't check the status yourself but the person who submitted your investigation or a person with access to the OPM system can check it.

Dual Citizenship and clearance question

I am a MSII in Army ROTC who contracted at the beginning of the year. By contracting I also sent in my SF-86 for my Security Clearance. I have dual citizenship for the U.S. and Ireland, including an Irish passport that was used twice. I let my COC know immediately MSI year of my situation and was told it was not a problem. However, I did research for myself and it looked like I had to give up my Irish Citizenship but this was never confirmed. I got a call 2 weeks ago from OPM who said that I have to schedule a meeting to go over the situation. He was very ambiguous and did not really say much about it.

I am more than ready to renounce my citizenship. However, I have not been told yet whether to do so or not. Also, I have my Irish passport on me incase I have to turn it over.

Does anyone have experience with the security clearance process? I was born in the U.S. and the only reason my mom (who was born here) got me a Irish passport was so she did not have to deal with 3 small children while going through immigration to see my grandparents who live over the pond. Trust me, if I could get a straight answer from someone I would not be asking for help online. I would appreciate any advice/experiences because I am jumping to conclusions over something I should not be. I just want to do whatever I need to do so I can commission.

DOD 5200.2.R and AFI 31-501 are the guidelines for your Dual Citizenship status. Conditions that could raise a security concern and may be disqualifying:
1-The exercise of dual citizenship
2-Possession and/or use of a foreign passport

Conditions that could mitigate the security concerns:
1. Be willing to denounce citizenship to the foreign country.
2. Give up the passport.

You don't want to give anyone the impression that you have foreign preference over the United States. It is good that you are taking positives steps to rectify the dual citizenship issue. Be truthful about your future intents in regards to your preference. OPM is trying to determine your allegiance to the United States.

Print and always keep a copy of your SF 86 from eQip. Good luck with your interview.

Thanks for everyone's advice.
This whole wait and see thing is killing me. I have a bit of a Type A personality and not knowing whats going on is kind of making me paranoid. Is it a bad thing that I haven't heard anything the last 4 months, not even what to do with the expired passport?

SSBI's are being directly impacted by sequesture, be patient. The delay, in this case, is not a sure indication of problems with your clearance.
