Did anyone receive an e-mail of phone call today if their call did not come last night? We are still hoping for something. We received a very very brief letter saying he was hoping to call Sunday but that never happened.

We did not get a call yesterday or today and so far no email. I dont' know if band co had time to yesterday or not. I just figure he's busy and I trust his judgement about contacting us when he needs to/is available or his is in sic bay coming up with a new flag or ring design.

First email just came

I just recieved an email from my son in 2nd Company. So it will be soon for everyone.

We just got our phone call, did not get one yesterday. He sounded really good, much better than first call. Bonus: We were actually both home for this one. We were both traveling last weekend and I was not available to talk, so mom got to listen.

Phone call Monday

Just got a call....they were issued lap tops but most of them getting error security messages and will not be fixed until tomorrow. He said today and tomorrow are setting up stuff. Happy and sounds great!

e mail address

Can anyone share the e mail address the P/C are using? I have not heard from my son and would like to email him prior to the start of classes.
Thank you

Their email is:
firstname.lastname.2013@usmma.edu
Hope that helps.

I have emailed with my PC throughout the day. Its seems to be a transition day and not crammed full of required activities. I emailed him first so maybe that is all you need to do. It is also possible that you PC is stil having the computer problems mentioned here last night.

Parents... you can go ahead and try that format... I did. The emails are usually valid beginning a short time before they are given their computers.

If you try to email your PC, and it does not bounce back (as a bad email address), then your plebe will have some email from home waiting for him when he DOES get everything working. HAPPY time!

BTW parents, all midshipmen WILL check their physical mailboxes too... Don't neglect to send 'snail mail' as well. It's a real pick-me-up. One Mid I know (2/c) said: "My mailbox is very lonely, and my email is just full of hundreds of KP emails to go through" They WILL get KP email fatigue.

I really enjoy looking for silly cards to send snail mail, they never know what to expect when they open it. Miss those pen pal days. I am surprised that no one got sick from "electronics withdrawal"

electronics withdrawal

Mindy G not sure if you meant PC's or helicopter parents. I had a serious case of "text from DS" withdrawal. Sounds like he was too busy to notice the symptoms.

I will miss the snail mail from my PC. They were the first - and probably the last- letters we have ever received from him. It was very sweet to read them. Its so different from email and IMing.

This is the correct e-mail address Thank You
