Enjoy watching "Mr. President" and "First Lady" with one eaglet a few days old and an egg on the verge, at the National Arboretum. Highlights have been on the national news. We have the iPad in the kitchen streaming it. Oddly fascinating and impressive. Long periods of sitting, then careful shifting, fresh fish deliveries, and parental swaps. Stunning to look at them so closely.

At night, the nest looks brightly lit, but it's the IR camera - actually completely dark at the nest.

Fun! I see two have hatched now. We enjoyed watching the Decorah eagles a couple of years ago. Really interesting to watch the mom and dad care for and feed them.
