In case anyone has kids in this company.

Which brings up a question I have: They call the numbers company and in reality they are the platoons - right?

(There shoots down the whole "military family" idea. This must be a USNA thing?)
 
My understanding is the letter company is dropped after plebe summer and the current platoon number becomes their company number (ie, Alpha company, 1st Platoon, is absorbed into 1st Company when the Brigade reforms).
 
JShawshank has it correct. The letter companies are only used during Plebe Summer. Their Platoon Number will become their Company Number during the Academic Year.
 
Thank you very much! My daughter is in Echo company and this is the first picture I've seen of her! Good to know she's still alive!!
