Educational Delay Questions

Following are a few question related to AROTC Educational Delay program:

1. Does a cadet also apply for a Branch Assignement at the same time the apply for the educational delay, or does applying for the Educational Delay prevent applying for a branch assignment?

2. If a cadet is granted an educational delay but is subsequently not admitted to their educational target (say med school) or decides they don't want to pursue the educational delay option, how are they assigned to a branch?

1. Does a cadet also apply for a Branch Assignement at the same time the apply for the educational delay, or does applying for the Educational Delay prevent applying for a branch assignment?

2. If a cadet is granted an educational delay but is subsequently not admitted to their educational target (say med school) or decides they don't want to pursue the educational delay option, how are they assigned to a branch?

The cadets will apply for both. If they receive the educational delay, they must begin their post-graduate degree within 1 year of commissioning or they will fall back under the control of their original branch.
