Is it allowed for freshman to have external hard drives? Like could my parents bring it up on PW?

if you want to use it with your government computer it needs to be scanned by the Comm Squadron.

We were issued 500 GB External Drives with our computers.

What about iPads. If they got me one for a going away gift, could they bring it on PW or is that contraband?
