I have just received an appointment to The Naval Academy and am fully qualified. I am currently a student at a technical school. I was wondering how important my spring semester grades would be and if they really even matter at all? Does it even matter how I finish up the school year?

From what I understand is you're not 100% in until you report on IDay and sign. They will still be reviewing final grades etc.

USAFA requires final grades by June 10th. Have not seen yet what date USNA wants them by. But they will want them.

Whether USNA or ROTC, from here on out your grades should matter. If you are looking towards service selection and especially if you've been accepted to one of the most prestigious institutions in this country, you would be doing yourself a disservice if you felt your grades didn't matter. And if in doubt.. think of all those people who received the dreaded email in which might have made every day of senior year count if it would make a difference in the decision of the USNA. From a parent's perspective: do yourself the honor and make every day and every grade count because it will only help you. Good luck and congrats!

Congrats on your appointment!

When you say "just received", do you literally mean this morning?

Many on the forum would like to know what state your nom came from as well.
