Well that is an option, it's not that simple. If you enlist that changes how you get in and actually makes it harder because you're in a different pool and there are more factors involved then just your own performance.
If you want to go to the academy the best way, if you don't get in the first time is go to another college, do well, and reapply from there. DO NOT ENLIST if your goal is to get into the academy, if your goal is just to serve then enlistment is an option, but do your own research and be ready to stay enlisted through your initial commitment.
