I am working on filling out my application and am a bit stuck on the personal statement section.
"In a well-organized essay of 300 to 500 words, please discuss the following:
(1) Describe what led to your initial interest in the naval service and how the Naval Academy will help you achieve your long range goals, and
(2) Describe a personal experience you have had which you feel has contributed to your own character development and integrity."
Does this mean ONE essay covering both topics, or TWO separate essays, one for each question? I assumed it was the first one and wrote my essay, but now it occurs to me that they might be expecting 2.
Any insights on this would be helpful - how do you all interpret it?
