I am currently a contracted AS 300 in AFROTC (non-scholarship) set to graduate in May 2015. I was wondering how/if it was possible, to get a waiver to allow me to extend to 4.5 years and commission after the Fall 2015 semester. Didn't know if any of you know of this, or have seen this done. I am going to meet with my cadre this week, but want to get my head around it, and show a bit of initiative. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!

What is the reasoning for extending your graduation date?

The problem with extending the date until Dec. is you will be commissioning FY 16, not FY15. It is doable, but they are going to want a reason because currently HQ has you slated for FY15.

Thus, there has to be a logical reason behind supporting you as a 300 to push it back by a semester. If it is due to grades, than that in itself may be a bigger problem for you because you want UPT. Plus, for your AFSC the CoC will write a rec., thus, think about how you will approach this request when you sit down with them. Stating, I want to raise my cgpa is a warning sign, whereas, saying, that you have spoken to your academic adviser and unless you carry 22 credits for the next 3 semesters it is not doable to graduate in May.
