Extension Period beyond April 15

Does anyone know if West Point will grant an extension period of slightly beyond for April 15? I will be able to attend USMAPS when I am medically qualified by DoDMERB. All my records were sent in yesterday and I am afraid that I may need a waiver. DoDMERB has been fast with posting up about what they want from me but with the date rapidly approaching, I don't want to be a day off then get the waiver or something like that.

I don't see why they wouldn't because R-Day is July 2, I believe, and extending it a week or two into April to get a candidate, that is accepted, squared away doesn't seem that problematic but then again, I don't know the procedure and am just hoping for the best. Again, I haven't a need for a waiver just yet but just want to know information beforehand so I can be prepared if the occasion arises.

is april 15 deadline for waiver approval for real?

My daughter was accepted to the usma on February 15 and only then were we able to schedule her eye exam and physical. we couldn't get the eye exam until March 1. We got a remedial and we sent in everything since she was 10 years old last week and it got there on Friday. She has a history of inhaler use and I have 2 letters inclosed in the packet from the doctors who prescribed the inhaler saying she doesn't have asthma.

The WP coach is having my daughter up this weekend for her official visit. Still what if she needs a waiver for this or anything else they may see in her records? I don't see how this can be handled by April 15, 2012.

Are we out of luck? Or is the waiver deadline just for applying for waivers? Any insight to this matter would help greatly.

Thanks a lot for any info. We plan on talking to the powers that be while we are there this week.
