Failing Final 6 weeks

This year I am taking Calc BC at my high school as I expect most others are as well who applied to USAFA. I have a B- as an average for the year except for the sixth six weeks. This final six weeks we are preparing for the AP test by taking tests everyday and I am really struggling with this. Will my failing the last six weeks of math affect my appointment in any way even if I still pass the overall class at the end of the year? Thanks

The Academy will just see your semester grade, they won't see the individual grades or weeks or anything like that. As long as you pass the class you're not going to have a problem! That's not saying don't try, but also don't stress too much--enjoy your last few weeks!

I agree, just the final grade is reported. Calculus is one class a lot of cadets struggle with. If you are taking BC now, you are ahead of some. You will take a placement test during BCT and will probably test into calc 2, you'll take a lot of this over again and it may be easier the second time around.

It's a possibility that I may get a C average for this semester (83% first quarter, 72% right now (damned implicit differentiation) and now I'll be out for a week for wisdom teeth extraction. I will do my best to get my grade to a B, but will a C (my only C in high school ever) kill me?

They're coming out monday, and all 4 are being removed. None have yet to even emerge, so I was told the surgery will be intrusive, and to account for that. I plan on being back thursday, but will then be making up tests and quizzes all day. Therefore- 1 day of useful instruction.

You can validate calc 2 if you know sequences and series. Validation tests are during 1st beast. Know your stuff. If you don't like how it turned out, you can always talk to the math department after basic and when you studied a bit for it (i.e. a retake)

In college right now and have the possibility of failing Calc 2 right now. Large possibility. I already have my appointment for class of 2018 but will a failing grade mean they'll revoke my appointment?

I don't think you'll have a problem. You are starting freshman year over again when you get to USAFA and this will just be one class that you won't be able to validate. Be honest on ANY questions or papers that you fill out when you get there. Don't worry be happy........and try not to fail any more classes!
