Falconry

My ALO did falconry, and he said it was a huge time commitment. When he went to the Academy, the falcon traveled with the sports teams as the mascot, so the handlers had to travel as well. I'm not 100% positive if they still do that, but I'm pretty sure they do. I also don't know how competitive it is.

Competitive, but worth it!

When I visited the academy, the falconry club cadets said it was very competitive to get into the club, but definitely worth it!

In what other place would you have the chance to interact with one of the most regal and powerful raptors on the planet on a frequent basis?

HUGE time commitment...you need good grades...and excellent time management.

And then...you need to work well with the officers, cadets, and falcons...

It's NOT easy...but doable!
