I've just been reading my scholarship notification letter, andirons said awarding of the scholarship is based in part on continuing academic success. Two question, do you have to send in a final senior transcipt, and how bad do your grades have to be for them to take away the scholarship? I'm probably going to have anywhere between a 3.0-3.5 at the end of this semester. Thanks.

SemperFi: That is standard language on any university acceptance letter etc.

As far as I can remember, my DS did not have to provide a "final" transcript to the Navy, USMC or the University.

High School often sends out final transcript

Typically you will tell your high school where to send the final transcript. This is usually needed because federal financial aid isn't possible unless there is proof of graduation.

DS had to provide a final transcript to the University. Since he wasn't on scholarship he did not need to send NROTC the final transcript. If your GPA is above a 3.0 and your final semester/quarter is above a 3.0 you should be fine.

Can I ask if your portal changed or did you receive a e- mail? Thanks!

While this is an accurate statement regarding my memory, my lovely spouse just told me I don't know anything! As it turns out, DS did have to provide the university with a final transcript.

Neither one of us remembers sending anything to NROTC but maybe they got that via the University?

Sorry for any confusion I may have caused!

@Saints2013, I guess I should have mentioned this is the post, but I applied Marine Option so it's a separate process. But I was notified via email from the XO of my recruiting district. I was notified on 3/25 by email, and then my portal updated with my unit assignment the next day. Maybe the Navy Option process is similar, I know they have more boards (Marine Option only has two) and I read somewhere on here that it met a couple of days ago. If that is the case, give them around a month to get back to you. It was around a month from when the board met to when I found out.

Thanks, yeah the USMC might get the transcipt from the university that kind of makes sense
