First Board Results

For those of you that contacted me late on a Friday afternoon, the week before Thanksgiving sorry I haven't gotten back to you yet. I went into work this morning (Saturday), to try to knock your requests out, and turns out CCIMM is down, so I can't check. I probably won't be able to check Monday, so hopefully I can get you all some answers early next week...sorry.

And for those of you that are having a tough time being patient...get used to it. I like to use the term "exercise in patience" the military and life in general will be full of them. You are either going to learn to deal with them, or you are going to die of ulcers.
Best advice of late! If I have two students in my house and one has heard from a school (one of his top picks) and the other one has not heard anything from anyone (different schools), am I safe to assume the one who hasn't heard probably has not received a scholarship offer in this round? Or, is there still hope until that December 4th date?

Keep fingers crossed and keep waiting... Official letters should be mailed after the Dec. 4th "personal notification" deadline. If your son's school is completely following the requested protocol then he may still have a chance.

clarksonarmy checked for my son and said that he should contact with his ROO, not that he was passed to the second board. He sent an email to his first choice school who replied that he should expect to have a happy holiday. He's not heard anything else. We assume that he just has to sit tight and wait for official news, but I can say that it's much easier to be patient for good news than to wait for the unknown.

I will definitely say my prayers for my one DS, as he still doesn't know his twin has received the 4 year offer, will be very hard news for him but he sort of expected to not get an offer the first round (but he also thought that rule applied to his brother!) Oh well, life is full of hard lessons.

I got a call today from the PMS and he said that my HS son received an offer from the Citadel and they would like to present him with the offer at the ECU game during halftime. He couldn't tell me if it was a 3 or 4 year scholarship as of now. Also, my son's online application still says "boarded."

DS is a non-contract MS-I at a Large State University in the west because he did not receive an appointment to USNA or a NROTC/MO scholarship at The Citadel. Instead he went non-contract AROTC out west due to better aid package from the college.

Today his ROO and the PMS called him to the AROTC office and offered him a 3 year Advance Designee scholarship!

He signed on the spot and then called home. :D

received email back from clarkson army friday..."cant tell you if you have an offer...contact ROO at school of choice on status..."
reached out ot ROO at top choice school and ROO replied "At this time, I am not able to provide you any information on the board results. If you are a recipient, you will be properly notified."...hoping they are just following new notification protocol...keeping fingers crossed...

From our experience last week, you have received a scholarship! Congratulations!

No word yet from a local battalion. DS did receive email from #1 choice stating congrats on the 4 year award and a call from #4 choice asking when he would be completing the application and if he would come to the university for a tour. It would be great to see the actual paperwork or "winner" in his portal.

thanks...hoping that is the case...jut reading other posts sems like many have been contacted in some way...we are still waiting...congrats to you as well...

Today son received call from a local Battalion (not where he interviewed but another closest one) inviting him to come to their university Dec 3 for award ceremony. Didn't give details. Son can't attend that day and they said someone will be in touch then to schedule time to come to house and present it. I guess this Battalion was going to try to get all the winners in the area together and do it at once rather than drive all over the place and present them. Status still has t changed online.

If you accept the scholarship- does it mean that you are obligated to enroll at the select university/college, provided you are accepted to the university?
