I don't remember seeing any discussion of how to update or submit Senior year grades, & I don't see anything in the CIS. Will the USNA request an update from my son's school? Or should we ask the school to send a transcript? Thanks in advance for any info on this. Merry Christmas to all!

    Yes. USNA will ask.

Probably wouldn't hurt for a candidate to request and/or remind/follow-up. Always good staying on top of these details, imo.

    Request for Senior Year Grades

The USNA has not requested my son's fall semester grades from his senior year. Does that mean they are no longer considering him for an appointment? Should we request his school to send them anyway?

DS had them sent (from the high school via mail, they do not accept them any other way) and it seems that anytime anyone asks on the admissions FB page, they always say to send them.

From my knowledge, USNA only needs a single transcript (at least 6 semester) to process the application. I sent my 7th semester grades to USNA, anyways. My BGO also said it wouldnt hurt to send it, as admissions will consider it when the time comes.

By and large, all the Admissions Board will know about a candidate is what is in her/his file. I strongly remind my candidates of this fact and tell them it is their responsibility to keep their files updated with transcripts, awards, accomplishments, any significant changes that occur in their academic, athletic, or community life - especially if it is beneficial to them. But, if you have questions call or email your contact in Admissions for a definitive answer.
Best wishes... only two more months of agony and anxiety.

Will my 7th semester transcript show on my CIS? I scanned it and emailed it to my AC who said he would add it to my file, along with also sending in the paper copy just in case.

It will. My son's school sent his 7th semester transcript in -- and it showed up on the portal within a week.
