August 1st. They allow season ticket buyers first choice.

i believe the local parents groups can purchase the tickets - group sales in July. we received an email a few weeks ago with info on group sales and individual tickets asking if the group wanted to purchase a block of tickets together. some one with more experience can confirm this probably but you might want to call your nearest local parents group.

For those parents who aren't really "into" the game (because if the Steelers aren't playing, it ain't football), there are usually some real nose-bleeder seats available for $5, and lots for $10. And the last couple years, it's been bloody hot, so be prepared.

I don't believe the Steelers won the Super Bowl this year!

But I agree - we did the Parents' Club thing last year and paid like $35 each for tickets for us and the two siblings and were completely packed in together and facing into the sun. At halftime we moved over into the corner of the endzone where hardly anyone was sitting and had room to space out and put our feet up on the seat in front of us and have the sun at our back (as you said, it was HOT!). This year I'm definitely buying the cheapest tickets and then looking for non-crowded areas. I was there to watch my son (he was in D&B and we moved over to the other side to watch during halftime) and be part of the general atmosphere, not as much to avidly follow the game (okay, I admit it, I spent much of the game under the bleacher areas in the shade socializing with other people from the forums!).

    HEATHENS!!! SACRILEGIOUS!!!! LOL.....

Sorry, but I LIVE for College Football. Especially the Falcons. But I can understand how hot and uncomfortable it can be. Especially if you're not use to the climate there.

***I*** was there!! Even brought food, but didn't stay. This year, I'm staying longer, and looking forward to visiting with all my buds from this forum!

ChristCorp, I like college football too, but the PW game, it's just so... L O N G, and we all know who's going to win (though last year was better than the blow-out of the previous fall).

Still, the Steelers were IN the Superbowl, though admittedly, they didn't bring their best game. Was a miracle they made it at all, considering everything.

I was there as well!

Thudgate vs Football game - apples & oranges in my opinion! :thumb:

And I loved following Falcon football this year but would much prefer to do so from the comfort of my sofa at home without a teen next to me saying constantly "I'm hot...I'm thirsty...do we really have to stay for the WHOLE game?"

Luckily, their opponent was missing 7 starters, so most of the game was enjoyable to watch.
