Option 6 won and we are in the process of organizing the integration of that forum skin with the boards. Expect the skin to be available in approximately 10 days.

We have implemented the forum skin at this time. You may go here to select your own style (scroll to the bottom where it says Miscellaneous Options). You can also use the drop-down at the bottom of the forum to look at different skins. Vertex Blue is the default now, Vertex Green is a different version of it, BlackTeal is a darker skin, provision is the one that was not very popular, and Default is the default VB skin that we have used since our inception.

There are still some things to work out (we are in the process of creating a banner for the forum), and expect provision_x to be only available for this year. When we renew next year we'll once again have a poll to decide what skin to use.

If there are any questions or comments please post them here.

Thanks to RetNavyHM for putting together the banner that you now see on the page.

Thanks all.. I'm finding hidden talents. Plus it helps that I'm working with people who have done stuff like this for years!

I like the banner and the ability to go back to the original look. I may get used to the new one, as time goes by, but I'm so used to the "old look."

Thank you for all of the hard work you've put in. I've only done a few of these kind of layouts and you've done an outstanding job!

TacticalNuke, do you mind if I try my hand at designing some banners also? I have some free time tomorrow and I don't want to do homework!

Also, have you though of the idea of using a .gif so you can have multiple themed banners? Or a script that changes the image everytime the page changes?

Sure, I'll be happy to look at what you come up with, and I'll see where we can use it.

It's possible to use a .gif and/or rotating images or a specific image per page. I might consider it, however there is the problem of bandwidth which will be used up by this. I'll look into it though.
