What freebies do the parents get during I-Day registration? I just want to know before I send them buying everything at the visitor center store. Thanks.

Also where is the parents picnic located at?

Is there an appointee breakfast?? Somebody had asked me that and I had not received any information about this. Can someone verify this? Again thanks.

    Picnic

    Wednesday, June 26th from 10:00-2:00
Garden of the Gods meet and greet at the Scotsman Picnic Area. This is a beautiful park, there is no entrance fee, you can bring a lunch with you or pick one up at the cafe in the park.

    Thursday, June 26th from 10:00-2:00
In Processing Day Picnic sponsored by the CO parents club at picnic area 2 E side of Stadium Blvd at the Academy. After you drop off your Basic there will be signs on how to get here.

It's an absolute requirement that every parent drop plenty of cash at the visitor center during I-Day, as the retail therapy helps parents obliterate the image of their child getting on the bus! Seriously, there was little swag to be had that I recalled at I-Day other than perhaps a sticker or a pen being given out by vendors.
And there is no appointee breakfast that I recall as the basics all had differing reporting times. it's a long day, so if you can manage it, eat a good breakfast. My DD was too wound up to eat but she said later that the BCT cadre made them eat and hydrate regularly, so you should still be okay if you can't manage it.
Good luck! I'm getting excited for the class of 2017!

The AOG will have plenty of goodies to sell as well. They will be a focal point at the drop off point.

Yes! As someone who bought at multiple times and locations, they don't sell the same stuff. So don't blow by the AOG shop, thinking you can pick up the same stuff at the Visitor Center later!

    Get together

    Hi
I am not sure as it will be my first time to go. I think it is the parents putting it together at the Garden of the Gods.
    Regards
    John

It's a bit of a blur, but I seem to recall that they had some major discounts on virtually all items bought on I-day at the store inside the Field House - not sure about the visitors center. But I may be thinking of Acceptance Day.
