    Any thoughts regarding this matter?

"News of the potential for canceled classes comes as more than 1,200 plebes reported to the Naval Academy for Induction Day on Thursday.

Schofield said it’s unclear how many of these students will be affected.

“The class missed will basically operate in the same manner as if there were a snow day closure,” he said.

Civilian teachers make up 56 percent of the Naval Academy’s 508 faculty members. Military teachers are not authorized to cover for civilian furloughs as the Naval Academy balances between showing the harm of budget cuts while preserving vital operations."
