Gas prices/visiting and NC

Hello NC parents ---just wondering-DS says most of the people he has found from NC/SC and lower VA seem to fly home when they get breaks. Anyone driving. It's a 14 hour round trip from here but still cheaper than flights. With gas prices rising any one else looking for carpool options?

DS will be in Class of 2015 along with one of his HS classmates. We have told DS that there may be others from our area and whenever we can we would be open to arranging/participating carpools. Going up next week to be tourists in DC and Annapolis. Eastern NC to USNA is a good 7 hour drive. Hope the NC parent group is active enough to provide some opportunities to help other mids.
