I am a recepient of a GED but am almost complete with my associates at a two year college, with all college level courses and 3.7 GPA and 29 ACT composite, does my little high school/GED experience really even factor into the selection process now or does my proven success in a college atmosphere qualify?

no comments or suggestions? West points candidate system allows for the GED selection, but Air Force and Navy do not, any particular reasoning behind this. I spoke with officials today for AFA and USNA, I will have to send in my Limited high school transcripts, which were honestly very poor. I made many mistakes in my adolescence and am wondering how this stuff is looked upon. Have any of you BGO's had an experience like this with any of your candidates? Does anyone know of anyone like me? What do you suggest I do?

Thank you

I think they will focus much more on your college grades than what you did in h.s. If you've taken challenging courses, done well academically, and kept your nose clean, the last two years should count for a lot. However, every person and every experience is unique.

has anyone ever had this type of experience? know anyone? or have any other information to suggest?
