I know on the CFA boys and girls had different scores for maxing out, passing, and failing. Are there also separate expectations during CBT? Everything I've read about preparing for CBT doesnt differentiate. I'm not trying to make things easier on my self, but I also don't want to kill myself all spring trying to meet the mile times for males.

Erm from my understanding, during CBT we would be expected to perform everything and at the same level of intensity as the males. (This sounds like a science experiment). During the Army Fitness test, however, females have different minimums in order to pass. This test is administered at the beginning and end of CBT if I'm not mistaken. I don't think we're going to be expected to lift 200 lbs during CBT but we have to carry our weight (no pun intended). I don't think there is much gender differentiation..

The entire time you will do the same stuff guys do. The only difference will be a lower standard on the APFT.

If they do divide you into fitness groups during PT, it will be according to fitness level, not gender. We had different run groups for my CBT and although most of the lowest group was made up of females, the highest group also had some.

awesome! i always perform better when more is expected of me.

thanks!

Aim to be the best you can possibly be. That's all there is to it. :)

women and APFT

I also heard that after participating in the same training as the men all through BEAST, a LOT of the women max their APFT scores. Maxing your APFT gets you something - like maybe a pass (not sure - someone can comment).

Yes, you earn a performance pass for maxing your APFT. :thumb:
