Hello my name is Sung Suh from Kingman Arizona. I am a senior, my application is complete, and I am just waiting with questions just floating around in my head.
Kingman is a small town and I'm sure not everyone applying to the Air Force Academy isn't from big cities with a lot of opportunities for extra curricular activities. I've read other people's "is this good enough" posts and they had a lot of different sports and a lot of different clubs. What I noticed from all of them was that, if they were in a lot of clubs and sports, they had one or two years of experience as a member, club officer, or co/captain.
My school is an academy and has about 500 students. The other high school in town has 2000 but their extracurricular sports/clubs aren't any different than our school. Some of the sports that I've read from other people's posts that are not available in Kingman or even in my county are: Go-kart racing, golf, boxing, hockey, skiing, and wrestling. Most of the people written a thread has included majority of sports but for about one year each. And same thing with clubs and other activities. There are only 4-5 clubs at my school.
So with this difference of availability of extra-curricular activities, is there a better chance for someone who has tried a lots of activites with less leadership or someone who has done solid amount of activities with great leadership?
Also to those who has taken ACT and already got their appointment for class of 2015, what was your score?
Are my scores any different than the ones that got accepted?
