Just confirming for my own peace of mind.... Does the Academy still pick up appointees from the Drury Inn on the 28th? I'm hoping that they wouldn't change that from the instructions and not tell someone.

Yes, the pick up times are listed in the "Instructions to Appointees".

USAF Academy buses will pick up appointees from only
the hotels listed below between 6:45-7:00 a.m. AND AGAIN
between 9:30-9:45 a.m. on 28 June for the trip to the Academy
inprocessing area. If you are staying at one of these hotels,
and you miss the bus, you must obtain alternate transportation
(i.e., commercial taxi) at your own expense. If you are
staying at a location other than the Academy pickup points,
you will need to find your own transportation to one of the
pickup points or Doolittle Hall. If you have any questions,
contact the Cadet Command Center, telephone 1-719-333-
2910/11/12. Late night arrivals (after 4:00 p.m.) will also
need to contact the Cadet Command Center

There are only two listed times so you will probably need to plan accordingly. There will likely parents of other cadets that will be able/willing to help out.

If the AFA is requiring the first squadron (Aggressors) to be there at 6:45, I wonder if the first bus at the Drury Inn might not pick those basics up a bit earlier than 6:45. Sounds like the Instructions to Appointees booklet was printed and not updated to coordinate with the changed schedule--last year basics could report any time between the stated time--I believe 7 a.m. to noon or so (there were a couple things in the booklet last year that weren't quite up to date too). Personally, I would call the Cadet Command Center at the number kdc246 mentioned to see if other arrangements are needed to get there by 6:45. You don't want to add to the stress of the day by reporting late! Kdc246 is right that there will be plenty of incoming basics, some with parents, at the Drury Inn. Its very close to the South entrance of the AFA.

The Academy might put more pick-up times out there if more people call to inquire. I know during holidays (yes this is a stretch and a pay service during holidays) more busses are scheduled if they know more people need them. So, if you are one that needs a ride and it isn't early enough for you, I would call. My gut feeling on the report times is slightly flexible. Just remember it takes about 10-15 minutes from the gate to get close to civilization. Most bases are pretty strict on the speed limit too. Parking around Doolittle Hall can be challenging too, two years ago we were parked on the side of the road quite a distance away.
