I know that there are several books about or relating to USMA, but I can not decide which book to read. Which books would you suggest to incoming Plebes for the class of 2016?

Just finished "Absolutely American" by David Lipsky and strongly recommend it. Also "Duty First" is another really good one.

"The Diary of a West Point Cadet"- Preston Pysh
This was a great book and fun to read.

I know it's not a book...

National Geographic - Surviving West Point i would highly recommend. It's 6 hours of media from west point as through the eyes of a WP cadet. When you're done reading, this is a great documentary to see.:thumb:

Fright to the Point. All about some of the ghosts you may encounter as a cadet here

"In a time of War"-shows what the class of 2002 cadets acheived during Iraq and Afganistan Wars

"Unforgiving Minute"-details one cadet who actually was on a Rhodes Scholarship; then fought in A.

AA is a great book as well. I'm sure there are others but these are great reads.

Currently reading the Long Gray Line. Some could argue that it is outdated but I am really enjoying it so far.

Im about halfway through Absolutely American and it is a great book. It is painting a great picture of what life will be like and is full of interesting lessons. Im really enjoying it.
