Hi new here and thought I'd join the group, some of the advice here is fantastic. I'm an upcoming senior at my high school and for a long time I've had the dream of being admitted to the United States Naval Academy, and to be an officer in the United States Navy.

I'm captain of my schools golf team and a member of a neighboring schools NJROTC unit; where I am an Ensign and Operations Officer for one of the two companies in our Battalion. I'm also the Commander of the NJROTC's Orienteering team and its varsity captain. I'm co-captain of the rifle and sailing teams there as well. This year I start work on my Quartermaster rank at Sea Scouts and I'm active in the Unit. This summer I've been awarded a staff position as Orienteering Staff, representing our school in our three counties Basic Leadership Training Camp as one of the host schools.

I was lucky enough to attend NASS this June in Session 1, that experience and a few overnight stays at Kings Bay Naval Sub Station, GA, and Mayport Naval Station, FL, I've decided on a Naval Officers career.
