Good plan?

UNCC has many different language programs to chose from. Many more than your average state school.
Considering over a billion people speak Chinese you might look at some of the others.
While China is a potential adversary they are not as likely as some others.
 
Bull, I really don't know want any of that means. My son just expressed an interest in GRF after his military career. He's done some research, I have not.

Whatever you do, don't try a language with a Latin alphabet :) La Fuerza Aérea no necesita las lenguas que usan la alfabeto Latín. Perdon mi gramática es mal a veces. (the Air Force doesn't need languages that use the Latin Alphabet. Pardon, my grammar is bad sometimes). I promise I didn't use Google translate, just a grammar checker (forgot an accent)
