The college will not know but the NROTC staff might know who has been assigned to them.

What does your online NROTC status say?

    Got accepted to first choice

First congratulations. Penn State University Park is a great place. You are going to enjoy there. My son is a junior up there, but is not ROTC. I am up there every chance I get. You should hear something from NROTC, themselves. Once, they tell you have a scholarship and you completed all the necessary steps, then I would call NROTC.

    Good Luck,

    RGK

Doesn't the Navy assign you to one of your schools? It isn't that easy to transfer to another school.

we have the same issue...accepted to Schools #1 and #2/EC Engineering also...no ROTC scholarship yet. Its a matter of waiting for the next board and hoping for the best. Good luck to you
https://www.nrotc.navy.mil/status_scholarship.aspx Check the status of your application at this link..from what I've read it will show up on the website about the same time the detachment is notified

What does everyones status say right now?

    What does this mean:

The NSTC Selection/Placement Office has received your application.

    Missing Items
All required items have been processed.

    Selection Status

No decision has been made on your application.

Like mine (and everyone else's) your application is waiting to be reviewed by the next board.

When's that next board? Nobody really knows for sure...

Has your status ever said "waiting for board approval" or something similar? My sons had that status before it switched to the above.

I was given a direct number to the department above and they told me the board sits every 14 days. She couldn't tell me what the above status meant through.

Umm, I don't think so. To my recollection, my status first showed I was missing certain documents, then it showed that all of my documents had been received, and finally it now shows that my application has been processed and is awaiting selection. I don't think I've ever seen something along the lines of "waiting for board approval"- could be wrong, though. Maybe someone else can weigh in.
