I realized that most West Point students had a GPA of around 3.8-4.0.

Mine falls at around 3.5, but my ACT Score is a 35. I'm going to take the test again in about 3 months to get a 36.

Will my ACT score level out my GPA?

West Point doesn't care about your GPA (as long as you are graduating). They use class rank for local competition and ACT/SAT for national competition to assess you academically. Your in a good spot with the 35. If your school doesn't rank, they'll use your national percentile from the test to give you a rank.
