Grades/GPA

I'm a high school sophomore in the IB program. This last grading period (not semester) my grades have slipped a bit and I received a C in Honors (IB) Pre-Calc, Honors (IB) Physics, and Honors (IB) World History. My GPA consequently dropped to a 3.61 (unweighted) which is, to my understanding, low. Basically I'm just wondering if it will be taken into account that I'm in a demanding academic program or will the GPA be looked at as if I were in traditional classes?

to my understanding, they care more about your class rank, plus "rigorous" courses you've taken and what grades you got.
