First of all, it doesn't matter what TYPE of nomination you get. They are all 100% identical. None is more important than another.

You said you applied for your MOC and 2 senator's nominations...... Did you RECEIVE EITHER??? If you did, then I don't understand you question or dilemma. LOA + Nomination + 100% qualified = APPOINTMENT.

If you didn't receive your MOC or senator's nomination, then you need to hope that your coach can pull off a superintendent nomination. Because it sounds like that is your only chance. Doesn't matter how good of an athlete you are or how much assistance you had on your application. (You didn't get any help on your APPOINTMENT because you don't have an appointment currently). Bottom line is you must have a nomination.

There is no timeline on the superintendent nomination. As for your MOC and senator, if you received a nomination from them, they would have told you. If you don't know, then look at your online application. It will say if you have a nomination. If it says NONE, they you don't have any. And it's past the time to get a MOC or senator. Those were already submitted. If you don't have one by now, then you won't get one. Your only other chance is the superintendent. If that's your only other hope, then contact your coach. No one here can answer that for you. Best of luck.

Wow! This post seams awful strange to me. I have been reading many posts regarding appointments and TWEs and BFEs for the past two weeks, and SDrunner is just now wondering whether or not he has any congressional nominations? And he was sitting on a LOA? Something just isn't right here

It's not that strange, I didn't receive either senatorial nominations or the MOC one, I got my LOA a couple months back and am just playing the waiting game, what about people who don't accept their appointment to a service academy? That would mean the MOC slate would reopen, I was told that since I'm a blue chip recruit I'd be matched with a nomination and was just trying to find out when that would come, didn't feel like bothering the coach about it so I'd thought I'd try here, I will be receiving a nomination, I just don't know when.

While it is true that the MOC slate would reopen to fill an appointment because the person who had the appointment turned it down...... that doesn't mean they will ADD additional nominees. In other words, if a person turned down the appointment and the academy went back to the MOC slate, they would choose from the remaining 9 people. They WON'T / CAN'T add a NEW 10th name. In other words, if you didn't receive a nomination from your MOC/Senator, then you WON'T receive one from them later. They submit their list by January and that's it. They don't get to change or add to it later.

Sounds like your only possibility is the superintendent nomination. As I mentioned previously, you need to contact the coach working with you. That's your only possibility. Moc/Senator is obviously not an option for you. The academy can't give you a MOC/Senator nomination if your MOC/Senator didn't give it to you. It's against federal law.

Well, now it all makes sense. Best of luck to you SDrunner. I agree with Christcorp, contact your coach.
