I did on Saturday. I received a call from the admissions office notifying me of my appointment.

The Academy will be doing CCEBs (Cadet Candidate Evaluation Boards) through March and the first two weeks of April. They will send out notices after each board regarding the outcome.

I am hoping for good news for you Riverdale!! We were there last year. Don't give up hope. Last year we waited a lonnnnggg time. Wait listed, short listed, then appointment! She got her appointment on June 1st and she flew out June 23rd.

She is Sooo excited for the class of 2016 to report. And we are anxiously awaiting where she will be for her summer training and what leg of Eagle she will be on!!

PM me if you have any other news!! :yllol:

    Aaaaw...The Eagle.

How did she do the first time she climbed the mast.

The Eagle is the one experience the Navy really misses out on.

We feel you Riverdale. Coach told DS his review "was coming up very shortly" before the first RA CCEB. We have been mail box stalking for two weeks. DS received 4 yr academic scholly offer to Plan B on Friday but is really wanting to see what the letter with the New London return address has to say.

She had her 1st experience in Boston on Eagle last summer. She said it was scary, but climbed to ..the top. (some nest? I forgot the name). Ugh.. Anyways, some local parents were there and I have some nice pics of her first time out, which was awesome.

Although she is super stressed out, and says the academic year is WAY harder than swab summer, she loves it and wouldn't want to be anywhere else. (even though she gets hints of jealously at her friends at UF).

ProudTexan, Best of luck to your DS!

This is the second time around  for DS and oh the waiting and wondering...

DS is in the midst of last year's plan b with a 4 year scholarship, but the Academy remains the goal!

Thanks for the information Physicsguru. My son is anxiously waiting by the mailbox daily after he gets home from school. Since he is in the middle of Lacrosse Season, he gets out his nervous energy out on the field. I think he really wants that appointment or at least the CGAS program to Marion AL.
I sent you a PM about that issue.

    Anxious Dad in NC!
