Yes I know, I-Day was June 27. I gotta say I really appreciate all of the information that I have gleaned from this site over the past 2-3 years. My DS is a Plebe in the Class of 2017, and even with listserve and facebook, I find myself coming back here again and again to read posts and catch up. We gained so much information from this site and I really appreciate the Mods, current Mids, Grads and Members posts.

My DW (Dear Wife), DS and I all came to enjoy this site. It was funny when we sometimes discussed something, and later realized that all three of us already read the same post. For anyone considering USNA, I want to give an endorsement for this site. Certainly work through the proper channels at school with your Guidance Counselor, BG Officer, and USNA Admissions staff, but the information here has been so helpful. As a dad, I give my DS advice, but there is nothing like hearing from somebody that is there or has been there.

Oh by the way, we are driving to Annapolis tomorrow and I cannot wait for PPW this weekend!

Thank god, for a moment I thought this was going to be another " in my day" post slamming the new generation . BTW agree. Parent of a 2017'er also, see you in Annapolis....

Ditto all the above ... or +1 ... or whatever the jargon is :)

DD is also a 2017 Plebe, and we are counting the hours until PPW!

Yes, I agree - Service Academy Forums is great! The information we got here the past 2 years was so helpful. I highly recommend this site to everyone I know who is considering applying to a service academy. I have noticed the posts seem to have slowed down tremendously since I-Day. Can't wait until this weekend!

Congrats to you all and your plebes from the mom of a youngster. As they say, 1/3 done--good luck as your sons and daughters enter the academic year and meet the rest of the brigade. Enjoy PPW and celebrating their completion--almost--of PS.

Have a great PPW. This site has some great information but you have to use a colander throughout the posts:thumb: Dress Whites and waking downtown with a sudden celebrity is priceless.
