Heck, there have been senior leaders who did not know the AF flew UH-1s, which was made apparent when a UH-1 pilot asked them a question while the senior leader was visiting their base!

It is generally best to go straight to the regulation or ask someone who works in that specific field. General officers and senior civilian leaders operate from a lot of briefings and second/third hand information due to the broad scope or their duties.

This is why I asked here. I knew people would be more knowledgeable than what I found on the net.

Even with the regs, sometimes regs and implementation aren't always the same thing, because just because something 'could' be done doesn't mean that it is. It's why this forum is so invaluable for those of us that have had no previous contact with the military and there are people who are constantly helping and explaining that have made this transition so much easier.
