In the "Information for New Cadets and Parents, Class of 2019" packet, which is found in the portal, it says, "CBT culminates with 'CBT Challenge,' which includes an air movement of the new cadets out to the training area via helicopters."

Does anyone know which type of helicopters we will be flying in? I'm assuming it's the CH-47 Chinook.

My DS didn't ride in one last summer/CBT, but I do recall it being in the parent info. Not sure why, but I never heard from any other new cadet parents that their kids did it. Just a heads up in case it doesn't happen...

Not everyone got to do this back in 2008. Some were transported in an Army vehicle.

I would suggest that SF1775 worry a heck of a lot more about making it through the first few days of Beast than about which iron shows up to maybe haul the exhausted bags of meat out to a field site.

Maybe if we're lucky, we'll travel by foot.

My DS Class of 18 did not mention anything about helo ride at end of CBT but did take Air Assault 1 after Grad Week and was introduced to Blackhawks and rapelled out of them from 120 feet in the air. Loved every minute of that MIAD
