I am a parent of a future USAFA cadet hopeful! He is just beginning his sophomore year, but has been preparing for the academy since the 7th grade. My husband and I both served in the Air Force, and our proud that both our boys would like to do the same. Im not quite sure how I fell upon this site, but I would have to say it is wonderful, and I'm glad that I did! The information and responses are full of knowledge and it is great how helpful everyone is with one another. I look forward to many posts and I enjoy reading them as well! Yep, this place is pretty amazing! The folks that participate are great, and we have some true experts that can help with the application process, DODMERB questions, etc.

Is USAFA the only service academy he is applying to?

Thank you very much, I will relay the message to him. He has actually signed up for the forum as well. I told him that it would be a great opportunity for him to meet others and see what they are doing to prepare for the academies as well. Yes the USAFA is the only academy, he does have a back up plan if that falls through, he would like to do the AFROTC and attend Norwich. He has never really put any thought into any other academy except the one, being an officer in the Air Force is something he has wanted since he was 5 years old!
