Hi everyone!

I am a sophomore in high school, currently homeschooled but planning on attending Running Start at a community college full-time next year. I have so many questions its almost overwhelming...but everyone here seems so helpful, I am sure I will get them all answered eventually :)

Welcome!

I have just joined today as well, and I have met some pretty cool people already.

Good luck on the Running Start! And ask away all the questions you have! I know everyone will be glad to help you out!

A question, though... if you are homeschooled, do you do sports? How? Clubs?

Thank you :)

Yes, I do play sports. I play varsity basketball for my local high school. As far as clubs go, not yet. This is definitely proving to be one of the (few) disadvantages of homeschooling, because the only clubs I know of are part of public schools! But I am planning on joining Civil Air Patrol next week and getting involved in more leadership opportunities is my priority right now!

Alright man, good luck to you.

If I recall correctly, there is the option to mark that you are homeschooled on the candidate questionnaire, so they are probably prepared for that. Civil Air Patrol will def be something good.

Now, I know this less than you do. But I think that the SATs will be HUGE (I mean, bigger than regular-schooled candidates) in your situation, so score really high on those ;)

Again, good luck! And again, don't quote me on that... but good luck man. If you need any help, PM me. I'll do my best to help you.

Welcome!

As you can see, we're packed with folks that want to help in any way they can! We're a great "Family" here...join in!!
