    Greetings,

I just sort of stumbled upon this forum while internet surfing one day and thought I might be able to pass on some of my experiences/advice to folks out there who may be interested. I am not a graduate of a Federal Service Academy (I do, however, live in Annapolis, Md...but this is a digression); but, I did earn my degree from Virginia Military Institute back in 1999. I was an Air Force option cadet, and I took a commission upon graduation. I did four years of active duty as a Missile Launch Officer for the Minuteman III Intercontinental Ballistic Missile System (ICBM) at the lovely Minot AFB, ND before punching out of the service and heading to law school. I now am a practicing attorney, and I can say with great pride that VMI (or the Very Merry as we called it in my day) gave me an education that equally prepared me for civilian and military life. I know a lot of you out there may not be as familiar with the school as the SAs; but, please don't hesitate to ask any questions.

There are so many interesting posts on here-

Great to have you here. We have quite a bit of discussion about VMI in our Military Colleges forum and it's always great to have a grad to share their perspective.
