I wonder if any of you Service Academy Forum Experts can help me? There was a thread a month or two ago that discussed what to bring to BCT and it gave some good advice about not showing up with a large suitcase with wheels which are useless (have to carry everything). I wanted to show this thread to my son but I cant seem to find it. It could have been on another forum or I could have dreamed it. Let me know if anyone can remember.

The problem might not be finding the thread, but it might have shown up on a thread that veered off topic.

Best suggestion...start a new thread of what to bring for I-day

I would be interested to read that post also. Although, I believe that info comes in the "appointment accepted" packet.

My son has not received the appointment accepted packet but should any day. I just remember this thread having some info from people who have been there and done that. Thanks for the help

That thread flyersboy posted was good, but at USAFA, girl's underwear is NOT issued at all, so you'll have to bring that. Also, I never heard anything about buying lowquarters beforehand. You can buy boots before hand, although it isn't really an issue of breaking them in, it's more of getting used to running and doing PT in them.
